Satellite Symposium at the Joint International Conference of Mikrobiokosmos & CEESME 2025
The TwInn4MicroUp project is pleased to announce its participation in the Joint International Conference of Mikrobiokosmos & CEESME – Central Eastern Europe Symposium on Microbial Ecology (MBKCEESME 2025), taking place from 22nd–24th of September 2025 at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall in Greece. The conference is organized by the Hellenic Scientific Society of Mikrobiokosmos, in collaboration with the International Society for Microbial Ecology (ISME).
As an international meet-up, MBKCEESME 2025 aims to bring together scientists from a wide range of disciplines across Europe and beyond, fostering the exchange of knowledge and exploring the latest advances in microbial ecology, biotechnology, and sustainable innovation. MBKCEESME 2025 aspires to contribute as “a scientific fest on all possible (and impossible) aspects of microbial life” – covering interesting topics including terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, agriculture and food science, biotechnology and bioengineering advances, climate change, bioeconomy, antimicrobial resistance and host-microbe interactions.
The TwInn4MicroUp project is set to play a central role on Monday 22nd of September hosting a satellite symposium. More specifically, TwInn4MicroUp will be contributing to the MBKCEESME 2025 agenda, by sponsoring and organizing two sessions dedicated to early-career researchers, featuring insightful talks, focused on career development and funding opportunities. The sessions will promote constructive dialogue on the first day of the conference, spanning across a variety of subjects such as lab culture, innovative teaching through exploration and discovery, ERC grants and their transformative impact towards excellence, the transitions between academia – industry along with pathways towards sustainability and the “rebooting” of science in the industry.
By supporting the MBKCEESME initiative, the TwInn4MicroUp project is once again committed to creating valuable opportunities for the young scientists, gaining practical insight, exchanging knowledge, and sharing experiences. Such conferences are set to strengthen the creation of lasting networks within the microbial and biotech research community, not only advancing early researchers’ careers but also building a sustainable future around bioeconomy.
See you all there!
