TEF – Taranto Eco Forum 2026 took place on 21–22 May in Taranto, Italy, organized by Eurota and hosted at the Jonian Department of the University of Bari Aldo Moro. Now in its fourth edition, the forum has become an important national platform dedicated to sustainability, innovation, environmental regeneration, and energy transition.

Under the theme “Active regeneration and the balance of progress for the protection of the common good”, TEF 2026 brought together institutions, industry representatives, research organizations, enterprises, and civil society to foster dialogue and identify concrete solutions for environmental and socio-economic challenges. The programme included round tables, technical sessions, and thematic discussions focused on sustainability, innovation, energy security, and territorial development.

Representing the Twinn4MicroUp project and UniBA, Prof. Isabella Pisano delivered a presentation entitled “Bioeconomy and active regeneration: strategies for the sustainable competitiveness of territories”. Additionally, Asst. Prof. Nicola Di Fidio represented the project through dedicated dissemination and outreach activities during the forum.

Participation in TEF 2026 represented an important opportunity for Twinn4MicroUp to strengthen interactions with regional stakeholders and promote the project’s vision of sustainability-driven innovation. The event further supported the dissemination of scientific knowledge and reinforced the importance of bioeconomy strategies in fostering sustainable territorial development.
