TwInn4MicroUp Showcased at IRDG’s Funding Innovation: Expert Insights & Stories Event
On 22 April 2026, the IRDG Innovation Skillnet hosted the Funding Innovation: Expert Insights & Stories event at the Clayton Hotel in Galway, Ireland. The event brought together representatives from industry, research organisations, higher education institutions, and state agencies to explore how innovation funding and collaborative partnerships can accelerate research impact and support business growth in Ireland.
The programme featured presentations and discussions that highlighted successful examples of collaboration between companies and academic institutions, showcasing how national funding schemes, research partnerships, and knowledge transfer initiatives contribute to the development of innovative products, services, and technologies. Participants also had the opportunity to exchange experiences and discuss the evolving innovation ecosystem that supports research-driven economic growth.
Representing the TUS team, project members participated in the event with a dedicated exhibition stand, where they showcased the TwInn4MicroUp project to attendees from across academia, industry, and the public sector. The stand provided an opportunity to present the project’s objectives, ongoing activities, and expected outcomes, while demonstrating its contribution to advancing sustainable biotechnology and circular economy solutions.
Throughout the event, the team engaged directly with researchers, companies, innovation professionals, and public agencies, promoting dialogue around applied research, emerging technologies, and opportunities for future collaboration.
