TwInn4MicroUp Guest Lectures Inspire Future Microbial Biotechnologists at the Faculty of Biology
On January 20 and February 3, 2026, researchers from the Institute of Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering (IMGGE), Dr. Ivana Aleksić and Dr. Brana Pantelić, delivered guest lectures to students enrolled in the Microbial Biotechnology course at the Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade. The lectures were organized at the invitation of the course professor as part of the TwInn4MicroUp project’s dissemination and outreach activities.
During the lectures, students were introduced to the objectives and ongoing activities of the TwInn4MicroUp project, with a particular focus on microbial platforms for plastic upcycling and the development of sustainable biotechnological solutions. The presentations also highlighted the project’s mission to strengthen research capacity, foster international collaboration, and promote innovation in microbial biotechnology. The sessions encouraged interaction with students interested in research careers and provided an opportunity to discuss current challenges and emerging trends in microbial biotechnology.
By engaging directly with future scientists, TwInn4MicroUp contributes to raising awareness of sustainable bioprocesses and supports the dissemination of project results within the academic community.
